Starting the Next Generation
Our current crop of young horses — born back in 2021 and 2022 — are now coming into work, each started at their own pace. Milagro, a Quarter Horse–Andalusian cross, has turned out far more athletic and talented than expected, with a kind, willing heart to match his athleticism.
Real Chill HJF (Chilli Willi x Arundhati) and Right Voltage HJF (Zhivago KWPN x Lintas) are both being introduced to mounting, long-lining, and their first steps under saddle — each on her own timeline, with plenty of room built in for a horse to say "I'm not ready yet."
It's the same philosophy that shapes every horse and rider partnership here: go slow enough that the horse never has a reason not to trust you.
University of Connecticut
Young Horse Show Series
This June, the farm brought four young horses to UConn's inaugural Young Horse Show Series — a showcase of in-hand judging, liberty work, and the jump chute, built specifically to give developing horses their first taste of a show environment without the pressure of competition.
Milagro, Real Chill, Right Voltage, and a visiting two-year-old all made the trip. Every horse came home with a good experience — from a confident first jump chute to simply loading, traveling, and standing quietly like old pros.

Aruba x Diarado, 2027 Foal
Aruba, whose own sporthorse pedigree traces to Cherokee's Boy, is confirmed in foal to Diarado for a 2027 foal. Diarado is among the most accomplished sires in the sport today — sire of Diabolo, winner of the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, and the WBFSH's #1-ranked eventing sire in 2022, 2023, and 2024, with more than 100 licensed sons to his name.
This foal will be offered in utero at the fall UConn horse auction.
